*Students may take this course to fulfill their Visual, Performing, and Applied Art credit requirement.
This course is designed for students at all computer-literacy levels, providing instruction for computer use in common
software programs. Students will learn about a variety of products and skills including: typing, word processing (Microsoft
Word and Google Docs), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets), presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint,
Google Slides, and Prezi) and creative design (Minecraft) along with the necessary tools to become proper digital citizens.
Computer Essentials will also introduce students to the world of computer science through coding where students will learn
problem solving, web development and animation/game design.
